Terms of Service
Last updated: 29 August 2026
1. Who you are contracting with
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Block It Security website security scanning, monitoring and reporting service (the “Service”). The Service is provided by Jack Goodman (“Block It Security”, “we”, “us”), and by using the Service you enter into an agreement with us. Questions can be sent to support@blockitsecurity.com.
2. Acceptance
By creating an account, purchasing a plan, or continuing to use the Service you agree to these terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation. If you are using it as an individual, you confirm that you are of legal age to enter into a contract.
3. The Service
Block It Security performs scheduled security scans of websites you own or are authorised to test, records findings by severity, and delivers reports and remediation guidance through your dashboard and by email. Plan entitlements (number of scheduled scans, number of monitored websites, reporting features) are shown on our pricing page and in your account.
4. Your account and acceptable use
You are responsible for the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account, and you must keep your account information accurate. You must not:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose, fraud, spam or abuse;
- submit for scanning any website you do not own or do not have written authorisation to test — you warrant that you hold that authorisation for every domain you add;
- infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of others;
- interfere with the security or integrity of the Service, including uploading malware, probing, penetration testing our own infrastructure, or scraping;
- reverse engineer, resell, redistribute, or circumvent technical limits of the Service.
5. Intellectual property
We retain all ownership of the Service and everything in it, including software, scan engines, report templates, documentation and branding. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service within the plan you have selected. You retain ownership of your own content and data, and grant us a limited licence to host and process it solely to provide the Service.
6. Service level and disclaimers
We work hard to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. Security scanning is a best-effort activity: no scan can identify every vulnerability, and a clean report is not a guarantee that a website is secure. You remain responsible for the security of your own systems. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
7. Payment, subscriptions and taxes
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Payment, billing, currency, tax, invoicing, renewal and cancellation mechanics are governed by Paddle’s Buyer Terms. Subscriptions renew automatically at the interval you selected until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings or through Paddle; access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. Refunds are described in our Refund Policy.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. Where practical we will notify you first. On termination your right to use the Service ends; you may request an export of your reports within 30 days, after which data may be deleted.
9. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. We exclude liability for indirect, consequential or special damages, including loss of profits, data or goodwill. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury where that exclusion is not permitted by law.
You will indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your unauthorised scanning of systems you do not control, or your breach of these terms.
10. Changes, governing law and general
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the product or by email. These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Jack Goodman is established, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes. You may not assign this agreement without our consent; we may assign it as part of a merger or acquisition. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond their reasonable control.
